Under the Weather-Day 15

The last two days have been very draining for teachers in my district. We had a half day of school yesterday, and then parent teacher conferences till 8pm. Today we were able to go in to school at 11 am and stay till 4pm for round two of conferences.

Man, it must have taken all my energy to make it through, because as soon as I got home I felt pretty sick. I was taking care of my son and trying to make him dinner. As soon as I heard the garage door go up, signaling my husband was home, I breathed a sigh of relief.

He took over, and I hit the couch. Now it is 8pm on a Friday night, and I will be posting this blog and going to bed. Hope I feel better after some rest-we have a fun weekend planned and I don’t want to miss out!

  1. I feel the same way! I got home last night with a scratchy throat, most likely from talking for five hours straight. Today I felt great waking up a little later, but when I got home, I had nothing. I laid down for like twenty minutes until my two year old decided it was time for me to get up. That twenty minutes was key though. Hope you get some sleep and have a good weekend!!

  2. I blame the time change, but I’m right there on the couch with you, and wishing for my bed. There’s something about February that takes it out of me.
I hope you’re renewed in the morning and that the weekend is wonderful!

  3. Congratulations on posting, even when sick! This line, especially, conveyed your feeling of being drained: “As soon as I heard the garage door go up, signaling my husband was home, I breathed a sigh of relief.” Hope you’re feeling better and that you were able to take part in your fun weekend plans.
