Daylight Savings Time? Day 10

Why are we so tired? What time do we need to be out of the house? Why are we moving so slowly this morning?!

There were all questions my husband and I were asking ourselves this morning. We had a couple things planned and were trying to work around my son’s nap schedule as we were planning our day out. But man, we could not get motivated to get moving. Then, I got up to go refill my coffee hoping that would give me some liquid motivation. I looked at the clock on the coffee pot. It said 8:15 am. I did a double take. I just had been on my phone and it said 9:15am. Then I realize, “Daylight Savings Time.” No wonder we are tired, confused and disoriented! How did we miss this!? We had no idea today was “spring forward.” The worst day when you lose a precious hour from your weekend.

So here we are…12:30pm, not 11:30am…and we still have about the same motivation on getting moving as we did when we thought it was 8:15am. Now I am wondering how my son’s sleep schedule will change based on the time. And I wonder if we will be headed towards a family nap this afternoon to make up for this lost hour…we will see!

  1. You must not have watched your local news for the past few days, because the time change certainly would have been mentioned on there. I hope you get your bodies adjusted soon! šŸ™‚ ~JudyK

  2. “Why are we so tired? What time do we need to be out of the house? Why are we moving so slowly this morning?!” You’ve nailed it with those questions! You’ve really captured in words how everyone is feeling.
